Convert JPG to PNG

PNG is the format editing and design programs prefer, and the one that supports transparency. Converting your JPGs stops any further quality being shed each time you save, which matters when the image is going through several rounds of edits.

How to convert in 3 steps

01 · LOAD

Drag in your JPG files or a folder full of them.

02 · FORMAT

PNG comes preselected. No quality setting: nothing more is discarded.

03 · DOWNLOAD

Take the ZIP with everything already in PNG.

Why convert here

No more loss from here: every time a JPG is re-saved it sheds a little more. PNG stops that chain dead.
Allows transparency: if you plan to cut out the background, PNG is the format that can hold it.
What design tools expect: Figma, Photoshop, Canva and Illustrator all work comfortably with PNG.
In your browser: no upload, no queue and no sign-up. The files stay where they are.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting JPG to PNG recover lost quality?

No. The information the JPG threw away is gone for good and no format brings it back. What you gain is that from now on nothing further is lost.

Why does the PNG weigh so much more?

Because it stores every pixel with no loss, while the JPG had discarded a great deal. Growing five or ten times over is entirely normal.

Does the JPG gain transparency by converting?

Not on its own: what was white stays white. It gains the ability to hold transparency, so you can then remove the background and it will be kept.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes, the whole batch in one pass. Since PNGs are heavy, expect a sizeable ZIP.
