Convert WebP to JPG

You saved an image from a website, it came down as WebP, and now Word, your photo viewer or the print shop will not touch it. Turn it into JPG here and the problem disappears. It runs in your browser, so nothing gets uploaded.

How to convert in 3 steps

01 · LOAD

Drag in the WebP files you downloaded.

02 · FORMAT

JPG comes preselected. Quality 90 keeps it looking identical.

03 · DOWNLOAD

Take the JPG or the whole batch as a ZIP.

Why convert here

Fixes the compatibility problem: older programs, some printers and a few social platforms still refuse WebP. JPG never gets refused.
Bulk conversion: if you saved a whole gallery, convert all of it in one pass instead of file by file.
No uploads: the images stay on your computer. Handy when they are not yours to redistribute.
Transparency becomes white: if the WebP had transparent areas, JPG fills them with white, which is what you normally want for printing.

Frequently asked questions

Why will my computer not open WebP files?

WebP is a fairly modern web format. Browsers read it perfectly, but older desktop programs, some office suites and certain print services never added support. Converting to JPG sidesteps all of it.

Do I lose quality going from WebP to JPG?

There is a small loss because both formats compress with loss, but at quality 90 or above it is not visible. The file will usually end up bigger than the WebP, which is normal.

What happens to transparency?

JPG does not support it, so any transparent area is filled with white. If you need to keep transparency, convert to PNG instead.

Can I convert several WebP files at once?

Yes, drag in as many as you like and download the lot as a single ZIP.
